Visit to Finland

From the 20-th to the 27-th of April 2009 teachers and students from the Tver Konyaev College visited the capital of Lapland Rovaniemi. We visited Lapland vocational college, and also reindeer farm. We were allowed to feed reindeers and watch them. We were surprised at the diversity of flowers and vegetables in the hot house of Lapland college. The flowers are sold to citizens of Rovaniemi.  We visited the Santa Claus Village and talked with Santa himself! He asked us to sing “Moscow evenings”. Santa Claus can speak Russian well! We visited Zoo in Rauna and made acquaintance with ravon Yashka. Our teachers visited the rest home Yllas. They skied there and went for a walk and admired the views. Students at the same time visited the department Jokiväylä and sport department Santa Sport and bowling club. We had a nice time there. Last day staying in Rovaniemi we visited museum “Arcticum” where we made acquaintance with history of the town, traditions of Finnish people. We thank our principal Korzin A.B. and principal of the Lapland college Pertti Lakkala for opportunity to visit Finland and for interesting program and also our guide and friend Tanya Jokelainen.
